Not everyone wants to play golf everyday while they are in Phuket so here are the top three days out which are highly recommended for a rest day or for the non-golfers amongst you.
Phuket Island Tour
Starting with a pick up at your hotel, you will see the well known beaches of Patong, Karon and Kata before heading to Rawai Beach to see how the Sea Gypsies live. After visiting the view point at Promthep Cape you will drive up to the highest point on the island to see the Phuket Big Buddha and I doubt you will get much better views anywhere in Thailand. Still time to visit the Wat Chalong Temple before finishing off with a visit to the Wangtalang Gem Factory including drinks and refreshments.
Racha Island Day Trip
This is a great alternative to the rather over commercialized Phi Phi Island Tour and just a 45 minute speed boat trip from Chalong Pier. Its a real desert island with a magnificent white beach and crystal clear waters. On arrival you will taken to the Rayaburi Resort which takes about 10 minutes through the jungle and you can either have a beach front massage or do some snorkeling before lunch. The Rayaburi Restaurant on actually on the beach and you will looked after by Bao the restaurant manager so enjoy his great three course lunch before your afternoon trip back to Phuket (the prawns are out of this world)
Shopping and Spa Experience
No trip to Thailand is complete without taking some souvenirs back home and the morning can be spent at the Central Shopping Festival that is located in the heart of the island. After the morning shopping, right next to mall is the Cheraim Spa Village which is the largest spa on the island. The lavish interiors and luxurious facilities create a sanctuary of indulgence that is the Cheraim Spa Village. Treatments include everything you would expect in a top quality spa from massage, facials and body treatments including scrubs and wraps.
It’s not all about golf on your holiday, so enjoy the complete Thai experience!
