I often get asked where the place to stay is for golfers in Phuket, and of course everyone has different requirements!. The majority of the resorts are located on west coast from Kata and Karon in the south, right up to Mai Khao Beach in the north of the island. Increased traffic has made staying in the Kata / Karon area impractical for golfers, as the transfer time to the Blue Canyon courses is now well over an hour.

Patong Beach   is the main resort on the island and for those golfers who want the hustle and bustle of the a vibrant resort, this is where it all happens. Restaurants, markets, shopping malls, massage and spa shops are all here in there numbers, not to mention the legendary nightlife of the Bangla Road. From this resort two of the best courses on the island Red Mountain and Loch Palm are only 15 minutes transfer away.

10 minutes north of Patong we have the upcoming resort of Kamala Beach, and a further 10 minutes north we have the upmarket resorts of Surin Beach and the Laguna Resort.   These are two of the best locations for golfers to stay as every golf course is within 30 minutes of these resorts.

The furthest area north is Mai Khao Beach which is only 10 minutes from Phuket International Airport and ideal for a short break with short transfer times to the Blue Canyon courses and the much improved Mission Hills.
